Teacher Bios
Brandi Bassett
Founder/Owner of Bassett Piano Studio
Brandi Bassett has been teaching since 2004. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Music from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009, with her primary instruments being piano and voice. She also studied piano pedagogy, music history and theory, choral music, and educational psychology.
In addition to teaching, Brandi enjoys performing as a soloist and accompanist. She is currently the accompanist at a church in Fort Worth. Her work experience includes time as a math teacher, choral conductor, elementary music teacher, and recent service on the Board of Directors of both EMTA and WSMTA. Brandi is actively engaged in MTNA through several local chapters.

Teaching Philosophy
The primary goal of this studio is to cultivate skills that support a lifelong love of music and music-making. Well-rounded musicianship is developed through music appreciation, music literacy, and skillful technique.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Lessons are adaptive to meet each student’s needs, abilities, and learning modalities. Our curriculum incorporates the interests and goals of students and parents.
The teacher creates an environment where learning can truly thrive, designed to actively engage and provide opportunities to explore, share and create music.

• Increase discipline and resilience
• Reduce stress and improves mood
• Connect, inspire, and uplift others
